Shipping to the USA has been suspended for the time being, primarily due to shipper issues surrounding the implementing of country of origin determination rules and corresponding certification, as well as the net effect all this might have on my customers right now.

All my items are, as promised, handmade by me at my Pickering studio. But to be CUSMA (Canada-US-Mexico Agreement) compliant as to country of origin, it is apparently not sufficient that the raw materials have undergone a 'significant transformation' by me from their original state to that in the final product, but also that the country of origin of each of the materials used in the final product also be considered. This results in the product falling under a specific HTS (harmonized tariff) code, and - with country of origin for US import purposes finally established - whether the item is exempt under CUSMA from the tariffs associated with that code.

I hope to have this clarified and the shipping suspension resolved by mid September, and I will post the update here.

When U.S. shipping returns - and it will return! - the checkout process will automatically determine if a tariff is owing and if so, show that as a line item included in the total.
